Assistive Technology

Our Assistive Technology and Adaptive Equipment Program ensures that individuals with disabilities have access to appropriate assistive technology as well as adaptive equipment.

Keeping You Geared For Inclusion

Autism Ally’s Assistive Technology program ensures that persons with disabilities have access to appropriate assistive technology, as well as adaptive clothing and equipment to function in society. Our program is designed to create opportunities for education and inclusion, increase independence, as well as improve participation.

There are many ways to describe what Assistive Technology is and what it means to the individual. For us, assistive technology are tangible objects that are used to create an opportunity to enhance an individual’s way of life. It is also used to help persons with disabilities do their daily tasks easily through technological hardware and software. With adaptive equipment, persons with disabilities can enhance their daily functions and everyday living.

Program Goals & Objectives

To maintain and enhance strong and effective communication between disabled and non-disabled persons.

For persons who have no means of communication, things can be very difficult and uncertain. Without a way to communicate, expressing wants, needs, and desires can bridge a gap between the individual and the person caring for them. Finding ways to help persons with disabilities communicate can be very beneficial, and productive.

Our program will enable persons with disabilities, service providers, and others to learn about, access, and acquire assistive technology (AT) and adaptive equipment needed for education, employment, and community living.

Autism Ally wants to help persons by providing them with augmentative communication devices and strategies on how to live meaningful and productive lives.
